Dr Shuaiyin Chen is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor in Zhengzhou University College of Public Health. His main research interests are as follows: molecular epidemiology and infectious disease epidemiology, the evolution of pathogen virulence and drug resistance transmission, pathogenic mechanism and early warning of severe hand, foot and mouth disease, genetically engineered vaccine against Helicobacter pylori, and cutting-edge technologies for prevention and control of major infectious diseases.

Dr Shuaiyin Chen is a youth committee member in the Epidemiology Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association (CPMA), the chairman of the Youth Committee in the Public Health Branch of the Henan Medical Association, the deputy chairman in the Youth Committee of the Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Medicine Branch of the Henan Medical Association.

Dr Shuaiyin Chen has hosted or participated in some important scientific research projects. Among them, he has hosted a total of 5 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the sub-project of National major Science and technology for Infectious disease prevention and control, and Provincial level scientific research projects. Moreover, he has participated in a total of 7 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and National major science and technology projects. Dr Chen has published 41 SCI papers, approved 3 invention patents and participated in the compilation of 3 textbooks.
